This explains what Tutormorphus collects, why, who can see it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

What we collect

  • Your account: name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), and your timezone.
  • If you teach: your profile — photo, headline, about text, subjects, rates, languages, experience, where you teach, and an optional video link.
  • If you look for a tutor: your requests, and any learners you add (the name you give, school year, level, age band and any notes you write for a tutor). Use a first name only if you prefer.
  • Messages you send and receive, and reports you file.
  • Basic technical data needed to keep you signed in and the site secure, such as your IP address and browser for your sessions.

Who can see what

  • Published tutor profiles and institute pages are public, including to search engines.
  • Requests are public without your contact details or your learner’s details. Your contact details reach a tutor only if you share them in a conversation.
  • Messages are seen only by the two people in the conversation — and by a moderator if one of them reports it.
  • We do not sell your data, and we do not show advertising.

Children

Learners under 18 are added by a parent, guardian or institute, who arranges their lessons. We keep only what a tutor needs to know to teach them.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is open. If an account is closed or deactivated, we may keep what is needed to deal with reports, prevent abuse, or meet a legal obligation.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw your consent, by contacting us. You can also raise a concern with the Data Protection Board of India.

Changes

We will update this page when what we collect changes; the date above shows when.
