Terms of use

Tutormorphus helps students, parents and institutes find tutors and teachers, and helps tutors find students. By creating an account or using the site you agree to these terms.

What we do, and what we do not

• We let you search tutor profiles, message tutors, post a request for a tutor, and apply to requests and teaching jobs.
• We do not provide lessons, employ tutors, or take part in the arrangements you make. Lessons, times and fees are agreed directly between you and the tutor or institute.
• Using Tutormorphus is free for students, parents, tutors and institutes. We do not take a fee or a commission.

Your account

• Give accurate information, and keep your password to yourself.
• If you are under 18, a parent or guardian should create the account and arrange lessons on your behalf.
• One person, one account.

Tutors and institutes

• Profiles and institute pages are reviewed by a person before they are shown, and may be reviewed again when they change. We may decline, hide or suspend any profile.
• Your profile photo must be a clear, recent photo of you. Your subjects, experience and rates must be true.
• A request takes at most 8 applications; it closes when that many have applied or when the person who posted it closes it.

Rules everyone follows

• No asking anybody for money to apply for a job or a request — no “registration fees” or deposits. Report it if it happens to you.
• No harassment, abuse, discrimination, spam or misleading information.
• Be especially careful where a learner is a child: arrange lessons through their parent or guardian.

Reports and enforcement

Anyone can report a profile, a listing or a conversation. A person reads every report. To investigate a reported conversation, a moderator may read it. We may remove content, and deactivate accounts that break these rules.

Our responsibility

We check profiles before they are shown, but we cannot guarantee any tutor, student, institute or lesson. Meet safely, and use your own judgement. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for arrangements made between users.
